Bridges

Bridges are one method to fill a gap created by a missing tooth (or teeth). A bridge is connected to the teeth on either side of the gap with a natural-looking porcelain tooth in between. Natural teeth or dental implants can be used to support the bridge.
Types of Bridges
Bridges are available at the Cosmetic Dentistry Center in several types depending on the needs of the patient and the health of the supporting teeth: Traditional bridge - this type of bridge consists of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap, with a natural-looking porcelain tooth in between.
Cantilever bridge - this type of bridge is used when there are teeth on only one side of the gap in the mouth.
Resin bonded bridge - this type of bridge is made up of a porcelain false tooth, which is connected to the adjacent teeth that are prepared very little or none at all. This bridge is very conservative.
